BL 101 Old Testament Survey

This class will survey each book of the Old Testament, giving an outline of the book, reviewing the main stories, and presenting the basic truths. This course provides an excellent basis for further intensive study in the Old Testament.

This course will examine a variety of life issues that confront people today. The course will share biblical insights that can be used to encourage and help those who are facing transitions and challenges in life. Some issues will be presented by respected Christian doctors and counselors, sharing lectures from their areas of expertise via video.

BL 510 Life of David

This course will examine the life of David, the one who is called "a man after God's own heart." Many practical life lessons will be discovered through the study of David's life. Despite failures and shortcomings, David's life becomes the standard by which the other kings of Israel will be evaluated.

This course will examine various systems of ethics and compare them with the teaching of Scripture. In addition, the class will examine pressing issues of the day from a biblical perspective. Issues will include: Abortion, Infanticide and Euthanasia, Biomedical Issues, Capital Punishment, War, Civil Disobedience, Sexual Issues, Ecology, Homosexuality, Marriage and Divorce, etc.

MI 510 Music Workshop: Beginning Keyboard for Worship

This course gives an introduction to basic keyboard or piano, especially for the purpose of learning how to accompany worship in a church or Bible study setting. An emphasis will be on playing chords and learning to read both lead sheets and chord sheets.

This workshop directs the student in guided language and exegetical studies, tailored to the student's individual skill level. Students will learn to use some of the best Bible software to aid in their study.
